Elaine Bitonti leads Connected Battlespace & Emerging Capabilities for Mission Systems at Collins Aerospace, a business of Raytheon Technologies. In this role, Bitonti is responsible for all aspects of the Collins Aerospace Connected Battlespace strategy and its implementation. Her team’s responsibilities include execution of JADC2 related demonstrations, experiments and operational analyses (OA), as well as assessment and incubation of emerging capabilities that enable the integration of operations across every domain.
Since joining Rockwell Collins in 2010, the predecessor of Collins Aerospace, Bitonti has held a series of increasingly responsible leadership positions. Most recently, she led Business Development for the Mission Systems strategic business unit.
Bitonti began her career at Collins in the Simulation and Training business. She later led business development for Strike and Strategic C2, which included fighter, bomber, trainer and NC3 aircraft. In 2015, she became director of business development with responsibility for the Strategic and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) business area and later ran new business for the Communications, Navigation and Guidance (CNG) portfolio.
Prior to her time at Collins Aerospace, Bitonti spent nearly 10 years at Lockheed Martin Corporation. She began her career as a financial analyst, progressed into program management and eventually found her passion working with customers on new capability development.
Bitonti earned a Bachelor of Science degree and graduated summa cum laude from Ithaca College. She had a dual major in International Business and Management and a minor in French. Bitonti is fluent in French and continues to maintain her proficiency in the language.
